Welcome to the Asian American Bar Association of Houston

The Asian American Bar Association of Houston (AABA) is a voluntary organization of attorneys, judges, and law students of Asian heritage or who have Asian American interests. Founded in 1984, the AABA's membership reflects all aspects of Houston's Asian American legal community. In coordinating social events, continuing legal education, and pro bono and volunteer opportunities, the AABA promotes the Houston society of Asian American lawyers and addresses the needs of Houston's Asian American community.

AABA Lunar New Year Dim Sum Saturday, February 11, 2012 More Info | RSVP Come join the AABA for its Annual Lunar New Year Celebration! We are celebrating the year of the Dragon by enjoying delicious dim sum at Fung’s Kitchen (7320 Southwest Freeway) from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Families are definitely welcome with special treats for the kids!

Attendance is $10/person for AABA members and their guests, and $20 / person for non-members and their guests. Attendance is free for all children who are 12 years old or younger.

If your children will be joining you, please be sure to let us know how many will be attending.

Law Week Asian Outreach Poster Workshop Saturday, February 18, 2012 More Info | RSVP The AABA and the Houston Bar Association wish to invite you to our poster workshop. We are celebrating Law Week by giving children grades K-8th a chance to show their drawing talents at the Chinese Community Center (9800 Town Park, Houston, Texas 77036) from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Poster boards will be provided, supplies for drawing will be provided, pizza and drinks will be provided for our artists!

This year’s theme is “No Courts, No Justice, No Freedom.” Entries should depict the importance of our court system and how the courts preserve justice and freedom in our country.

The Honorable Jay Karahan will be on hand as our special speaker.

Please RSVP yourself and your child(ren) by no later than February 16.

Completed posters will then be sent to the Houston Bar Association and entered into the HBA poster contest courtesy of the AABA. All entries become property of the Houston Bar Association.
