Welcome to the Asian American Bar Association of Houston

The Asian American Bar Association of Houston (AABA) is a voluntary organization of attorneys, judges, and law students of Asian heritage or who have Asian American interests. Founded in 1984, the AABA's membership reflects all aspects of Houston's Asian American legal community. In coordinating social events, continuing legal education, and pro bono and volunteer opportunities, the AABA promotes the Houston society of Asian American lawyers and addresses the needs of Houston's Asian American community.

2015 HBA/AABA Law Day Poster Contest Saturday, February 28, 2015 More Info You are invited to participate in the 2015 Houston Law Day Poster Contest! Winners in each grade level will receive $200 (1st place), $90 (2nd place), or
$40 (3rd place). Selected posters will be displayed in Houston Downtown court houses and office buildings.

A FREE poster-making workshop will be held on:

Grade Levels: K-8th grades may participate.

Cost: FREE!

Poster materials, art supplies, raffle prizes, and lunch will be provided for all participants. The special guest speaker will be 164th Civil District Court Judge Alexandra Smoots-Hogan.

The theme for the 2015 Poster Contest is “Magna Carta: Symbol of Freedom Under Law”. Completed posters will be submitted to the Houston Bar Association for entry into the official Poster Contest.

AABA Mentorship Kickoff Reception Thursday, March 5, 2015 More Info | RSVP Please join the AABA as we kickoff the 2015 AABA Mentorship Program! AABA "Couch to 8K" Practice Run/Walk Saturday, March 7, 2015 More Info | RSVP Enjoy a light morning jog or walk in Memorial Park with your fellow AABA members as we train for the Law Week 8K Fun Run! All levels of runners and walkers are welcome, including families with children! Please make sure to bring a water bottle.

Team AABA: Law Week 8K Fun Run Saturday, March 21, 2015 More Info Want to get some exercise while also giving to charity? Come join Team AABA Houston aka Sportfeasors in the Law Week 8K Fun Run where 100% of your registration fee goes towards benefitting THE CENTER, a United Way agency. After the race, join the AABA Team for a recovery breakfast.

AABA Members will receive a $5 discount off their registration fee. Deadline to register is March 12, 2015.
