APIS Annual Retreat & CLE Saturday, April 26, 2008 More Info The State Bar of Texas Asian Pacific Interest Section (APIS) will be hosting its Annual Retreat & CLE on Saturday, April 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hotel Derek in Houston.

The conference will feature a group of dynamic speakers including David Chang from Chevron, and others from Dell, Diamond McCarthy, Haynes and Boone, and Weil Gotshal on the topics of litigation, IP, ethics, and international practice. APIS will also be presenting Harry Gee, Jr. with this year's Justice Wellington Chew Award for his years of public service and leadership in the Asian-Pacific American community. Melanie Lawson of KTRK-13 TV will present the keynote address.

Admission to the conference includes breakfast and lunch and is free for all APIS members.

Following the conference, APIS will host a Private Reception at LOT 8, the Boutique of Project Runway winner Chloe Dao. A portion of the evening's sales will benefit Asian American Bar Foundation and Lone Star Legal Aid.
